Feel awful
Day 3: Feel awful :( - No Smoking Day
Day 3
Oh Beer...you poor thing. A virtual hug coming your way.
Day 3 is often the pits (it's notoriously difficult) but if you can get through it, tomorrow will be better.
Just keep telling yourself that every minute you don't smoke is a minute you will never have to go through again. Once the withdrawal is done, it's done for ever.
Hang on in there.
Hi flu like symptoms, when im like this I don't feel like smoking. So from that point of view it's good.
Yes, that's true enough
It's the drug leaving your system. I remember how crock I felt but you don't half feel better afterwards. Drink loads of water if possible as it really does help.
Hope your day goes as well as it can do. I think you should do something nice to pamper yourself later.
Ok thanks.
Hi beer
Just posted in your day 2 thread, as said above day 3 is quite often the pits however you can get through this and all these physical fluey symptoms are for the greater good think positive it will get better x
Ask yourself Keith-3 weeks ago could you imagine having gone without fags for THREE DAYS :eek:
Cos you have mate
and you ought to be really proud of yourself, your body is loving this lack of smoke and poison,if your skin and organs could talk they would be whooping with delight now pic4ever.com/images/greenst...
Hi Max
Thats the first time iv smiled today cheers
I was the same for the first few days; stuffed up, a bit shivery and generally feeling BLEH. The good thing is that it passed after maybe day 4 for me (although everyone is different). I took a few paracetamol and used some nasal decongestant to deal with the symptoms and that helped a lot.
Feel sorry for yourself and look after yourself - whatever it takes! Very well done
P.S. they say that drinking fruit juice is good in the first few days. I didn't read about this until I was well past that but maybe it'll help you
Thanks for all the support, its so thought changing looking at the replies. You guys should feel proud of yourselfs , even if you help one person quit but I know you've helped lots and lots. The world could do with forums like thid for every addiction x
Sorry you still feel grotty, Keith.
As I said yesterday, I started feeling 'flu-ey' on day 7 (this Monday),
and today I'm feeling better. Back to normal by tomorrow, I reckon.
So ride it out for another day or two, and I'm sure you'll be back in
the land of the living
As you say, it kinda squashes the urge for a smoke -- result!
Best wishes,
Steve
Feel awful
Booo hisss to feeling awful! Chin up, don't let the bu**ers get you down! You might be extra tired at the moment too which would make you feel unwell as this giving up smoking lark is exhausting.
Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather Keith Remember the old adage 'feed a cold, starve a fever' ...you have an excuse to treat yourself big time
It'll soon be Day 4 and then you're close to a week
Today I am on day 3 myself. So far I do not feel the "flu symptoms" though I am sure I will before the weekly celebration hits. Right now I am just coughing up stuff. Lung butter as I call it. lol
Keep up the great work, Bro. You can do this!
Hi Beer.
I'm going to post the same message as I just posted for Mike.
This is the time to gather the troops and recall how miserable and ashamed you were when smoking. Not to mention how smelly - did I mention that!!!
It doesn't matter if you obsess a thousand times today - just DON'T SMOKE.
Isn't it great waking up knowing you didn't smoke yesterday? You want that tomorrow, don't you?
Well done. We're in it together.
WE CAN DO THIS
