Day 1 fight the after meal crave
Just had a Sunday roast myself..... You can't beat it.... And to distract you from having a fag after there is always the mountain of washing up.... Distractions work when the triggers like after food or drinks happen..... Hope to see you on day 2

Best wishes,

Mmmh Sunday roast:)..we'll I'm distracting myself by sleeping but can't do that tomorrow as I have work any suggestions people say eat but I don't want pile the pounds on:eek:
Hate washing up but I'll give it a shot. Thanks guys
Oh yeah and I'm having take out..I wonder if put the rubbish in he bin in enough of a distraction:confused::confused:
Hey Brebre,
We know exactly how you feel
Deep breaths to relax
Drink some water
Don't give up, instead...
Delay for a couple of minutes to let the craving pass
Do something else to take your mind off it
Discuss your feelings here!
HTH,
Steve
It's better to keep the taste of food in your mouth than the taste of burning foliage! Have a cup of tea after your meal, that tastes nicer than fags. Or get some raisins to nibble on....they're nice and sweet for after a meal.
Oh, and the distractions really are good; they will take your mind off the fags very quickly......honestly (as long as you let them!).

Okay thanks guys:)..Take away will be here in 45 mins...fingers crossed with all of the good advice I should be ok.. Should get some prawn cracker too they will help :o..any advice cold turkey or nicotine replacement..cold turkey at the moment...smoking on and off for 10 years between 4-10 a day???a?
Each to their own, Brebre.
Personally, I'm using NRT (see my sig), but there are plenty of folks here doing CT. As long as you quit in the end, use whatever tools you need.
Cheers, Steve
Enjoy your takeaway, mmmm prawn crackers, me likey!
I was out for an early Sunday dinner now I fancy a cheese toasty! Roll on the nitemares lol!!
As a smoker, I rarely let the taste of a meal linger for a while after I finished eating, but it's one of the things I'm enjoying about not smoking now.
The taste can hang around for ages if you let it, and it's rather nice...
