Well hopefully this quit is my last. My last few have lasted only five days. And I had insomnia, sweats and feeling tired all the time. Does anyone have experience with this tiredness thing and how long can it last?

Welcome Ken

Yes, yes and yes to all your symtoms. The insomnia was an absolute nightmare which of course resulted in tiredness, a viscous circle. This quitting malarkey is an emotional roller coaster, we all go through different aspects, many of us with the same type of experiences you and I have had, others have different probs.

Babysteps, gets our head in correct mindset and you're good to go!

Your New Life

Hi Ken and welcome! The human body is an amazing thing as soon as it's given the opportunity it starts repairing itself. I found that once I had become a non-smoker I felt tired quite a lot and if you think about it your repair service is now in overdrive no more smoke to block the repairs so you will be tired at first, but as the repairs start to kick in your energy will increase and before you know it you will be the new Ken, and if you are having trouble getting to sleep just lay there and think my body is repairing itself it will sleep when its ready! You have made a wonderful decision, a fantastic choice, to be free.

PS good luck and visit the forum regularly.

Thanks guys. I made it yesterday, tossed and turned at night and no cigs today. I'll check in from time to time. Thanks again,

Ken

Hey Ken,

Are you using anything to help you to stop? I know for some people who use Champix, they do have trouble sleeping - I got around this by taking the second tablet no later than about 5pm.

In my past attempts, I've tried to do a complete overhaul - i.e. no smoking, more exercise, healthier eating - I think that can help (especially the exercise part - as it tends to tire me out, and makes for a more restful sleep).

Good Luck! :)

Well, I'm happily moving this to the day 4 section. Thanks for the answers and no I'm not using any aides this time. Last time I was using an ecig, but I gotta say it feels better this time not puffing on anything.
