Somehow they always appear at the wrong time, stir you up at the worst moment and all of that.
Or is it just me? lol.
Was doing well without gum for hours until my boss started winding me up, now I'm chain-chewing my second bit 
Will have to buy some more tonight.

It most certainly isn't just you! Maybe those sort of people know we have stopped smoking and are deliberately sent out to test us by being as annoying as possible!

It certainly seems like it, lol.
Maybe they're always annoying and not smoking makes them unbearable or maybe it's having the grumps that makes them annoying - am confusing myself now!! 
And thanks, was trying not to have any more today but heck, it's better than having a fag.

I've been better thx but getting through it. I've been hurt by too many people lately and I'm fed up with people in general. Feel quite betrayed by people that I've done so much for when they were having a c**p time. It's a horrible feeling actually but I guess that's life. I've learnt another of life's lessons - you can't rely on anyone except yourself!

I think when I quit I associated smoking more with enjoyable times rather than the stressful times. Somehow I've managed to survive through the times that previously would have had me running for a smoke! It does help massively that I was the only smoker in the office though :rolleyes:

Ooh it would definitely help that you were the only smoker there - before my quit buddy and I stopped there was 1 non-smoker so I'm sure you can imagine what it was like for me!!
For me getting stressed was a huge trigger to go and smoke, usually 2 straight off - did nothing to help the situation but that's a hard thing to un-learn!!

I hate those realisations. And I really like to think that I'm the sort of person who doesn't just expect things in return, who doesn't do nice things so I can have nice things in return. BUT a little appreciation now and then, a shoulder to cry on, a "thanks for being a great friend" or even a "how are you doing at the moment" is nice enough to keep your faith in people.
I hope you have your faith in people restored soon hun. It sucks when you can't rely on those who have previously needed you.
Sometimes it's a good idea just to take a step back and remember to look after number one.
