Hi i'm through the first week and i feel really great. I'm going into week 2 positive and proud.
My worst time saturday evening. Since then ive been surprisingly ok, ive had several stressfull situations but the reaching for a cig has not crossed my mind 👍
I'm still chewing gum, just normal sugar free, drinking more water, going to bed a little earlier then usual and having nice long, hot relaxing baths. I'm trying not to dwell on thinking about smoking too much so nasty thoughts can stay away.
I maybe around alcohol on Friday evening as ive got a work meal to attend (not 100% sure if i will go yet or drink) i'm not sure how i'm going to be once intoxicated, its easy saying now but i'm sober! We'll see.....
But all in all very proud and a big thanks to some lovely posts xxxxx

About the booze - I went and faced it head on, was happy to stop smoking but wasn't going to give up drinking too!! But this worked mostly because I've got fab friends, it did make me crave so definitely take it steady on the drinks!! I'm sure you'll be fine though
If i do go out friday i think i may have 1 or 2, as you say Gemma i'm not giving up drinking too. I will also be with work colleagues and they dont smoke so may not be too bad.

Well if you're with non-smokers it's heaps easier!!
Have a nice time, don't stress about it just be cautious
