Now just into day 22. Been a bit of a struggle over past few days - doing psychological battle with myself! Feel I am over physical cravings but whispering voice is still at my ear - go on have one! Trying to control weight gain but have gained inspiration for those on this forum getting involved in more physical activity - think that's probably the way to go!
Still hanging in!

It's the psyhological part that's the hardest - we're all brainwashed into thinking smoking is good when it is the opposite - but when you beat that you're home safe!!
If you're struggling a bit with that then Allen Carr is fab, he really makes you think about why you used to smoke and takes away all the reasons for it!!
It really is a mental battle, much more than a physical one. You just have to be dead positive and when a bad thought comes along, try to flip it around so it's a good thought instead
If that fails, get your butt on here and we'll sort you out! There's always someone to cheer you on and give you suport when times get tough
Thank you for response - yes I will re-read Allan Carr - read some time ago.
I was kind of doing battle with myself along the lines -
go on have one -all this weight gain can't be good for you
go on have one - nobody will know
go on have one - you don't want to be depressed for the rest of your life
go one have one - you really enjoyed smoking
go one have one - it will help you deal with this stress
etc. etc.
Still holding out but would like to silence that little voice!
Getting much support from this forum and following everyones experiences!
That's very familiar Trish - it's the "Nicotine Monster" that really doesn't want to let you go!! It's a really bizarre feeling but you can and will beat it.
You're not missing out by not smoking, you're savign money, your health, you look and smell better and you're not always chained to a packet of fags everywhere you go!!
