I am on Day 10 of my quit now, and I was just wondering if there are any decent hobbies/activities I can get into which will give me something to do with the extra money i'm saving.
I'm thinking maybe the gym? But maybe I should wait until my lungs recover slightly first and then I can give it my best shot a bit more.

Apologies if you're male or not into crafts but I found cross stitch and embroidery a real help in keeping me busy for the first few weeks. They are kind of compulsive pastimes so I'd be there going through craving hell and I'd think I'll just complete this bit and then I'll put it down and then the craving would be gone. They both required enough concentration to take my mind away from the cravings too.
I've also got back into Zumba with more energy than before I quit. Can't wait for some lighter, warmer evenings so I can get out walking more.
Another idea would be learning a musical instrument, for me it really helped to keep my hands busy.
I'm carrying a stone or two more than I should be so really should work on my cardio. We shall see
Hi there.

How about chasing women?
This burns calories, is endlessly fascinating, and rarely completed.
Oooh yes, good time of year to take up a sport, and I'd say there's no need to wait for your lungs to improve. I managed to maintain a lot of physical exercise whilst a smoker!
Cycling is fun, swimming too. Jogging/running is amazing for fitness but not so much for the joints. Personally, it aggravates my sciatica
Would you entertain the idea of a fitness class? It's not all legs, bums and tums. Many gyms offer Les Mills classes which are quite addictive. There's a cardio one called Body Attack, which involves lots of jumping and running about. Body Combat, which consists of doing boxing and kickboxing moves to music. Body Pump is a weights class- very popular with men.
