This is my second attempt of the year to kick the habit. Day 1 today and so far so good. Am on the patches and also the the support of my wife who is also quitting alongside, although through a differing method. Just thought I would tip my hat to you all and also congratulate and support everyone who is also on this journey.

Must say that I do feel rather bad and guilty that my last quit failed. I was so determined to the point that I created a group on this site (Fab Feb Quitters) and feel really bad that I failed. But I am back to try again, this time with the additional support.
Hi Don, I can understand you feeling uncomfortable about the last quit not working out. Coming on here and telling people it didn't work out, and at the same time starting again at day1 can't be easy -it takes courage and integrity to do that. Well done, and I'm glad you have decided to return.
This is the first time we have both decided to quit together, which was a major factor in past failures. However I am on patches and Tracy is starting Champix today and has decided 16 Dec is her quit date. So I have 9 days to go to have that real support. But hey, day 2 today, which means I got through day1 ok. Hope everyone else is going strong to and wish you all the strength to get through one more day.
Kudos for coming back, and with you quitting together if one of you has a crave have a snog i said it in jest in a post a few days ago, and after me & him almost throttling each other it started to work (he's a non smoker just a misery sometimes)
anyway im rambling, i used champix and i quit earlier than i planned, i finished a pack and thought im not buying another just for the sake of quitting a in a few days. they made me rough but it was so worth it.
not much more I can say except pull up a chair we've got the heating on and cookies
