After months of anxiety had my medication review today. And after looking into when I get it. Iv bin diagnosed with having hormonal anxiety. They took me off the beta blockers but she gave me a anti depresent.. She knows that I got concerns as the last ones made me go mad.. And made the anxiety worse.. She said its a low dose. And I should try them to see if they will help.
But I'm a bit scared
I also spent the day at my folks house today. Even tho they are both light smokers and only smoke in the kitchen I couldn't belive how much my clothes stink and my throat was dry

I don't blame you for being afraid to take them. What kind did she give you? If its hormonal why can't she give you hormones? I've been better just taking all the vitamins.
I know I was on them years ago and they were ok, then last yr they prescribed them and bam I was Madly full of anxiety
Not sure on the 1's they've suggested but anything Upto 20mg is low dose so if I was u prob take them till your more comfy in your quit then come off them, that's what I'm doing
I was on Prozac then sertraline. Both gave me anxiety which I didn't have before I went on them. I don't know what I'd do in your place. Maybe try them for a week or two. I persevered and it didn't get any better but they work for some people.

After talking to my mum I'm not taking them.. I'm gonna go back and say if its hormonal I want hormones not SSRI
I think you're right. It seems obvious to treat hormones with hormones. I go to the doc tomorrow for the results of my blood tests. If she puts me on anything I'm going to check them out thoroughly before I take them. One thing about her she does agree that my symptoms are related to stopping smoking.

Good luck with ur bloods. Yes I check most suff put now.. Don't want be near anti depressants.. I'm not depressd so I don't need them.. And not needing them apparently give u brain zaps then anxiety.. And that's what I got with the last lots.. As ur body is trying to rid it self of it.
Like me mum said I'm seem loads better in my self since I bin taking the beats blockers. So why shud she change it..
Hi Shelly. I had a terrible time with my periods and anxiety and was given the implant in my arm. I didn't have any periods after and the anxiety stopped.
You've got the menopause to face yet which brings a whole new array of bizarre symptoms
It's horrid.. I made a diary as I new it was before and a few days after the anxity kicks in.. But Im not depresst far from it. So I don't need SSRIs. I do like this doctore tho she bin the only one that had ever helped me and listens. She the one that gave me the ECG. She even asked me how the hospital went.. Then said the spe******t was a waste of time for giving me blood tests.. As she already gave me a thyroid one.. And it was clear
Maybe try consulting a holistic trained MD they tend to know the "traditional" western methods but also will recommend other natural methods that have a track record for success. This worked for my girlfriend where steroids failed. Just my 2cents it's better to get lots of opinions before jumping into a treatment especially when big pharma is the "answer"
Blood test for thyroid was normal. I knew it would be. She says my cholesterol is high. I'm not surprised with all the cream and butter I eat. I told her I'm not taking any more pills.
