As well as thinking of me grandad as it was the fags that killed him. If I feel the need to smoke I visualise the fag as a glass of tar and every drag is a sip of tar. As I think if someone gave me a glass of tar I wouldn't drink it so why shud I inhale it

I just look at my grandaughter and children and dont want them to go through what i went through losing my dad to cancer.

Doesnt stop the cravings though, its so hard x

Similar to your idea someone on here previously posted the idea of filling a jar with used fag ends adding some water putting the lid on and shaking it up. Leave it close at hand and when you get desparate take the lid off and take a good deep breath of that.

Yuk if that dont put you off nothing will.

Stick at it as you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. On top of that your Grandad would be proud of you or should I say even more proud of you

Past times

What I remember most about smoking is the terrible cough I used to have and bringing up phlem in everybody, s company and feeling so embarrassed about it it is lovely being able to not trying to find somewhere for a quick drag heaven to be honest with you xxx

To be honest never really had any Heath problems web I did smoke.. Apart from rubbish circulation. But after working at my last job with ppl there in their 60s who have smoked all there lives.. And all the coughing they did one ov um had to have all her teeth removed due to smoking.. So that's when I though I don't want to be like that when I'm that age. I used to think I don't no how some ov um were still breathing the amount of coughing and taking up rubbish they did

Aitch... I just have to go in my spare room to smell the fag smell in there as that was my old housemates room and he smoked loads.. Carnt believe the mess he left it in wen he left.. I still yet to paint it due to lack ov money but it stinks and it's yellow. So with the cash I will save I will get that done

9 months on and I am still putting my money I would have spent into a jar, if i have a weak moment (which I still do occasionally) I sit and count it. Over £900 in there now which would have gone up in smoke
