Month one complete today

Starting my second month tomorrow and can't quite believe it.

Last week I got through a funeral and sitting in a bar beside the smoking area without giving in and I never expected to do that.

Feeling about ready to tackle my fitness too.

Life is pretty good.

Fantastic Elaine - well done! And a special well done for not using a funeral as an excuse to have one - just goes to show that you have that nicodemon on a nice short leash!

So well done Elaine, I remember how much I thought I needed a cig just before my Dad's funeral. It makes me cringe with shame now after all that smoking did to him. And I was smoking around him when he couldn't, only in the garden so he couldn't see but Mum kept drawing attention to it. Oh gosh I feel awful now.

Don't feel bad Zoe. If your Dad smoked he would have understood the addiction and that you weren't trying to torment him. He would be so proud of you now, that's what you must remember.

It was my friend's Dad who died and he was the only anti-smoker in a houseful in the eighties! He would have been thrilled that all but one of us have now quit. RIP Paul.
