Thats at least 30 one day at a times. You said NO to smoking at least that many times. the more you say it the further away u are from the smoker u were. your winning so well done, say yes to your no. 1month is a massive milestone.

One month today !! I am so pleased with myself I have not only gone without the dreaded weed but also alcohol for a whole month too ! Previous attempts to give up smoking have been blown by having a drink so this time I have to give up the two of them. Feeling great, weight stable and even lost a few pounds (due to the alcohol abstinence I think). I do get grumpy but it is getting easier every day. Yesterday I didn't think I thought of cigarettes once all day. Going to the gym and keeping busy that has been the key for me. Note to self ... I must not stop giving up as I have been here before but this time I must keep on!

Keep it up everyone

Addiction

Is it possible to become addicted to liquorice ? I think I am on that slippery pole so may have to set up a self help group to kick the habit !!

Last time I quit, many years ago, I substituted red licorice rope for smoking, and by the time I was finished with nicotine, I was indeed "addicted" to red licorice.

This time, I decided not to substitute anything when I wanted a cigarette. It's worked pretty good. I have not gained weight so far (just 22 days), and I'm not turning to candy every time I have an urge to smoke.

Well done, one whole month is amazing :)

Keep going & as for eating, it's easier to lose weight than stop smoking & you've done the hardest one already :D

Denise :)
