Yippee. I am one month quit today, I've had some stressful times this last month and didn't smoke. That is a real biggy for me. One thing I have really hated is the dreams where I'm smoking. But I'm so glad when I wake up that they aren't real.

Bought myself a dress today to celebrate the 1 month. I've saved $400 by not smoking. Wow.

I have quit a few times a year for the last 10 years but now I am trying for a baby so i have one of the strongest reeasons to stop that i have ever had; today is my day 1 and i joined this forum yesterday so feeling pretty strong.

What you say reminds me how easy it is to use the stress as a reason to start again and it makes me think how there are always stressful moments one way or another...I have always used them as en excuse to start again...but not this time!

Great acheivement, Cazza - well done! I will be there myself on Wednesday.

Can't believe how quickly the time has gone by and here we are - smoke free! I have bought myself a few little treats along the way this month so don't have any stash to go but anything special, but I am going to the local retail park after work so may be tempted by a nice floaty top to hide my growing bulges!

Hi Cazza,

well done, well done, well done!

I'm on day three of nrt-free living, after 32 days nrt (latest since blip).

A year and a half ago I quit for 11 months. I was so angry with myself when I lost that, that I'm trying to maintain a strong determination this time.

Dying of cancer is too silly, and I have a friend who may be doing that sometime this year.. she's two years younger than me, the first person of my generation in my adult life to be terminally ill since I was 20 and lost my then best friend to pneumonia (also smoking-related).
