Doesnt seem like 16 months though so didnt it go fast after all.

All that heart ache as well at the begining thinking we wouldnt manage 6 months let alone 16, well done my forever friend you are a star that will shine always in my eyes.

Hi Jack,

I am not on here very often but I saw your post and just had to say well done! I am 16 months today (with a couple of blips) and can still remember your lovely posts getting me through the first 2 days that I was on here so thank you very much for that. Am very pleased to be right behind you.

Well done Debs nice to see you back on here and know you've got so far. I bet like me you never thought you could do it. Well we both have and for any newbies reading this it can be done.

I'm so happy that you felt I was a help at the beginning I wish I could invent something that I could just give to the new ones starting out. Like a magic potion they could take and have no cravings or wantings, I really do feel for them.

Keep positive and remember this is something great you are doing for yourself that will last the rest of you porlonged life. As I have said many times we were brainwashed into thinking we can't stop.

7 days is a very big milestone and probably one of the hardest, you are doing very well keep it up. I sometimes think I don't need to come on here anymore then someone like you comes along and then I realise I can give up smoking but I can't give up this forum.

Jack you are such an inspiration I hope you never stop popping in here. I have read many of your threads and they have truly helped me. Like you I have smoked a long time 35 years on and off, stopped to have my daughter, and went back a year later how stupid! I hope you have a long and happy life. Congrats to you on your long quit.

Maria I will keep coming on here and trying to help as much as I can. I always feel I'm one of the lucky ones because I happened to pick the right time and I've made it.

But is there such a thing as the right time? hmm.
