Whoo hoo - I've reached day 10! And I feel good... last night had the ultimate test when the teenager daughter threw a strop, however i had two choices - deal with it or smoke a ciggie. And I dealt with it, actually I probably dealt with it in a calmer fashion than I used to.
Definitely since removing the patch at night I'm sleeping better and I think this is having the most positive effect on how I'm dealing with the daytime rituals. And I've now got more apples in the house to deal with the cravings (as well as allowing myself a few sugar free lollypops!).
My concentration seems to be getting better too... I know there's a bumpy road ahead and the patches are helping me, but thanks to the forum, I feel like I'm getting the support I need. When I asked my doc for help last year he just laughed at me and told me it was supposed to be hard to stop! Thank goodness there are more understanding people in the world and they live in this fourm...

Hi Trikeschick
huge huge well done to you 1 for reaching double figures and 2 for realising that cigs dont get rid of stress smoking or not teeenagers will strop ...so you dealing with it wothout a fag shows how far you have come, smelling nice,r concentration is good, and ten days without cigs is about 55 quid approx saved
good for you Trikeschick .. you should be really really proud of yourself
Well done for getting over the strops from your teenager! My daughter is an 8 year old (going on 18), and i totally understand!! I have strangely been very calm today, considering i took my two and one of their friends out for the day. I actually had a great day, which was surprising, as I normally get pretty stressy when i am responsible for someone elses children!! And i only had one craving when i saw a man smoking and that didn't last long!!
You sound very positive and too right you've got support on here!!
