16 days is almost done..I am so proud of me...got through feeling rough all week with a cold..got through the kids half term holiday almost:D.....Got through the itchiness of the patch.......got through everyday boring chores(which would usually be my reward) eg done dishes..fag...done tidying...fag...done hoovering...fag etc etc etc.........but not anymore my new reward is chocolate well not everytime.:eek:

I can see the bigger picture now.

Ah, that's a lovely thread to read- good on you. I'm particularly impressed on the chores, I've pretty much given them up on the grounds that I associate them with fag breaks- the house is descending into chaos! (Apart from today) I think half term's actually been easier than normal- I had a friend round yest- 4 under 5's between us and normally the whole day is nothing but deal with kids and taking turns on cig breaks, as we've both quit- this time we actually got to have a catch up, we were more chilled, so in turn the kids were. No time at all now and we're gonna be breaking that 1 month barrier- aren't we brilliant!

16 days nah 17 now, well done like you say you are proud of yourself and so you damn well should be. it is nice to be able to actually concentrate on doing something without stopping for a Benson and a brew ...dont miss though days at all ...... you keep staying strong and determined with your quit dont let anything or anyone stand in your way, before you know it you will be your first month milestone so onwards and upwards Kit Kat

Hi pols..:Dchores well it isnt a constant ongoing thing but i did use fags as a reward.. ha ha..........sounds good u actually managed a gossip without it being dominated by fag breaks BRILLIANT & yes we are going to break into 1 month without a doubt x

Thanks bradders.. yeah 17 days sounds good although my quit only began after dinnertime on 3rd so will that make it 17days at 1pm tomorrow or 18?? im getting a little confused now lol... wot the hell im not smoking & thats all that matters for today inspired by the fact you dont miss smoking at all..brilliant its good to hear x

good to see you are still going strong, certainly seems like you are more comfy on this quit and alot less :eek:

keep everything in perspective and don't let anything overstress you , if you have to take a break to collect your thoughts... do so.

priority is keeping yourself able to deal with quitting smoking.. as much as poss.
