nearly at the 100 hours mark, feeling much better and more positive today, it helped to know that the 72 hour point is where the cravings are at their worst, so to get past that is a bit of a triumph, but am not going to be complacent at all.
I have started a cash or ash tub, but seeing as i didnt have any money to buy cigarettes, let alone put in the tub, i have been putting £5 iou's in it every day, this week, and will continue to do so all of next week until payday. then i should have nearly £100 in iou's to change for cash, so i can keep half in the tub and treat myself with the other half.
Good luuck to everyone else at this stage too, it will get easier from now on, and everytime you feel like a cigarette, just tell yourself, would you want to go through the horrible time you have been through the last 72 hours, the hardest part!!

hi, thanks for the encouragement, i am off to see the doctors this afternoon about starting on Champix, not sure whether to go or not, as i seem to be ok on the patches.
Do you think i should go anyway, and just see what the doctor says?
We done on the 100 hours. I'm just finishing my 5th day and feel rubbish for the first time - spent all day in bed today. I love your IOU idea and am going to do the same. Am really amazed at where I was managing to get £6 every day!
I'm on champix and finding it great (apart from today) but my OH is doing just as well on patches. Horses for courses, but see what your doc says. Keep up the good work anyway.

Hi Glass
Sorry only just found this I wasn't around much yesterday afternoon as had a Dr's appointment myself
Did you go to the Dr's and if so how did you get on re the champix but if you're feeling OK on the patches if he gave it you why not keep it as a stand by just in case
