I'm on day 3! I totally know that I CANNOT drink and try to quit smoking, unless I have a patch on. Which I know better but think I will just stay away from drinking for a bit which should help with the weight gain also that I will be getting soon, oh well rather have the weight than smoking!

Well done you! I'mm on day 8, looking forward to day 9. Good idea with the alcohol, anything to strengthen the resolve. Hang in there, soon to be day 4, then 1 week, then the rest of your life.
It really helps in the first days/weeks even to avoid the situations that you know may weaken your resolve to remain smoke free.
I avoided TV, reading, visiting certain 'smoking' friends and instead kept myself otherwise occupied with things that pleased me and were good positive substitutes.
The first days seem like a life time but it does get easier, honestly
