Another day (13), another craving.

I'm fine all day and then ... I can't take it. It was tough yesterday, it's worse tonight!!

Wondering why it's getting worse... Any suggestion, any advice welcome as I really want to get to week 3 forum :D

Perhaps it's because you used to smoke when you were at a loose end. Have you tried arranging to meet up with friends or having some other definite plan for the evening?

Hi, I only joined today but wanted to offer my congratulations to you for reaching 13 days smoke free - brilliant. I find the evenings the hardest time too. I'm trying my best to avoid the typical things/events/places that I would have had a smoke in, e.g watching TV, reading, sitting around and day dreaming. Trying to keep both hands and mind positively occupied. The house looks neater and cleaner than normal, loads of home baking and early nights. Keep with it, you'll be in the 3 week forum tomorrow and I'll be there next Friday :D

more tired than normal perhaps this last few days? if your tired perhaps thats influencing how you feel in the evenings.

but listen.. you must not be fooled into believing this is just how its going to be all the time because its not. It not an easy climb this quitting lark, but it does pay off with perseverance and determination.

Those early days are like walking through glue sometimes, and i sympathise, but you must go through it to reap the rewards later. Just know that there is better days coming, and yeah its a bit sucky that the last few days at least have been a bit of a problem for you, but only gritting your teeth now and going the distance will get you to your goals.

I must admit, i did go and have the odd nap here or there in the early weeks during the evening.. sometimes just half an hour does you good.

I think you might have something there. Yesterday was hard when I was alone waiting for my hubby (still a smoker) to come back from work. Tonight, I just got back from martial art class and he just gone to play football so I'm alone again!

That's all it is, isn't it!! I'm alone, I want to smoke! :o

Thank you so much. Now I understand this new trigger, I'll be able to cope with it better!!! That's brillant, thanks again!!

I was also wondering if anybody heard from Lorna today?

Congratulation Pol, you're doing great. I changed some routine as you did and it does help. I'm drinking quite a few herbal teas now and as it has been quite chilly I warm both hands on the mugs and occupy my mouth by drinking it.

Thanks Jase, a good note too, I have been really tired this week, keep wanting to go to bed and can't get up in the morning!! I really like the weekends as I can sleep till really late and well, it's an easy half day smoke free taken!!:D
