Very happy to join you in here as I've now done an official week. Not a cigarette and even beter not a craving for one.
Finally told my Mum and sister I'd quit. They were so pleased but I didn't want to tell them I was thinking about it in case I got too much hassle and then felt I'd let them down.
My sister told me her kids (young) will be so chuffed as they have told her that they don't want Aunty Susan to die yet with the cigarettes. That was a big wake up call as I never smoke in front of the kids but clearly they'd cottoned on to it and it had been worrying them. (They've written me a rap song to encourage me....it starts something like 'Cigarettes are bad, bad, bad; you must be mad, mad, mad;....it makes us sad, sad, sad......when you smoke one...'.)As I said, they are kids but the sentiment is there.
Anyway, hello everyone in Week Two -see you in Week Three in about six days time.
Cheers
Sue

Well done getting to week 2 that's great Big Hug for you
Glad you're not getting cravings as well
Those young children have as you say been a bit worried about you smoking and even writing you a rap song as encouragemwnt is great I love the sound of the bit you've put here and it's so easy to fit a tune to it
I can imagine the boost that gave you as you say coming from Young children as we somehow don't expect them to notice things like this
Love

Awww sue them kids seems so sweet. Its my youngest boy that has spured me into quitting. The look on his little face when i used to say im nipping out for a cig.Was heart renching.Made it worse because of the new adverts on tele with the youngs kids asking thier mums to quit. Im That there on tho otherwise i would be still chuffing me head off lol
Had a seriously weird *blip* today. So far, done 12 days no smoking with absolutely no cravings or even little desires to have a cigarette....until today.
Spent four hours this morning in a sports hall so was pretty active and enjoyed it. At the end of the match, we have a 'end-of-match' drink and from nowhere at that point, I could have rolled the dust off the floor into a scruffy piece of paper and smoked it. Now where did that come from??
Not helped by the smokers in the group then going outside for a quick fag at the end of the match - usually I'd be first out there. I felt like I'd earned one too - but couldn't get my *reward* for being sporty all morning.
Didn't give in - but it was hard - for the first time in two weeks. Just when you think you've got it crakced, something like this happens.....Grrrr.
