Just back from a brilliant weekend. Met up with a bunch of ladies from another forum, husband and child free - whooohooo.
However, there were a couple of smokers in the group and there were some moments during the weekend where I could have succumbed to a puff. A large amount of alcohol was consumed by all and to be honest there would have been plenty of times where I could easily have sneaked off for a puff.
Fortunately, I didnt, although I did double check with the group this morning because I was sat with the smokers quite late on but I am assured I didnt and was told I wouldnt have been allowed to anyway!
This weekend was probably the toughest test I have had.
Still a quitter!!!!!

Well done for getting through a testing time and staying smoke-free. Funny isn't it, sometimes it's the good times that tempt us back to the cigs. I used to think it would be the crappy things and stresses that would make me think about smoking, but it can also be a happy time (often with a drink!) that unexpectedly triggers those thoughts.
Well done Nog, I know what u mean about the drinking, I have had to check b4 as cant believe sometimes I have done so well.... So another milestone acheived, Really proud of you, keep up the good work Kaz

Well Done I have been out a few times and surrounded by smokers. I must admit there were some times when the evening began when I felt like smoking, but after a while I remembered that I dont smoke and just enjoyde the evening. I think I enjoy going out more ie drinking because I not smoking like a chimney and smell better. When I got home after that evening and not smoked I smelt my shirt and it smelt of old tobacco smoke. It really was bad. I thought this would happen as we were all inside. It just made me think of another good reason for not smoking. Keep it up my brother who has not smoked for two years says that smoking to him now would be like putting his head into a bonfire! Mas
