Carbon Monoxide

Hi all im now day 4 of quitting......took the carbon monoxide test today and it was 2 thats a huge drop from 15........my partner is still smoking he is sitting on the step at the back door now.....if anything the smell coming in the house is putting me right off smoking..its gross..cant believe i used to smell like that myself..yuk.

Its true we all used to smell that bad, scary!

I actually still think and hope that I was the one special one who did NOT stink like that!!! :eek: I know I didn't..... I couldn't have!!

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

On day 4 that's great well done you, and yes it's awful to think we all smelt just like that yuk

Well done on day 4, i too smell smokers(when i walk past them in street) and i think they stink!

My monoxide test was 49 a day before i quit, i had one the last time i tried too, i forgot the reading but the Nurse said it was the equivalent of someone being in a house fire.Scary!!

I'm back monday for 2nd week treatment and monoxide.
