Just sat here (no work today) little Rosalie (25 months old) climbed sleepily onto Grandads knee and fell asleep, now, I don't need a pee (smoke) after ten minutes, so she stays here till my arms ache. Good to be a non smoker isn't it. David xxx

How sweet your story was. Looking back there are so many times we left, parties, babies, weddings, work, playing with grandkids even hospitals, and on and on, to smoke.
Good luck with your no smoking, your 2 month coming up this month I think.

Hiya Jackie. What a lovely part of the world to live. Hospitals yes. I was in hospital about twelve years ago, nothing wrong with me but they would insist on doing tests. I was shackled up to a moniter with the leads stuck to my chest, and when it was quiet I used to just unplug it and clear off to the smoke room with the wires up my top. Even went on strike one night and refused to take my medication unless they'd let me have a smoke and a bath. Proper charmer wasn't I. I'm 46 days today. David.
WAHEY 46 days that's great a pat on the back is in order I can imagine you getting stroppy in the hospital HA HA What we smokers would do for a fix eh
I remember last year when I was in hospital I didn't even think of a fag which shows how ill I was
But after a week when on the mend a nurse meaning to be helpful said she'd noticed I was down as a smoker and asked if I needed a patch or something to help I said no as I really hadn't thought of one ten minutes I was nearly climbing the walls, needless to say back I went once more grhhhhhhhh

Thanks Marg. Typical isn't it? Sat here laughing my head off thinking of the helpful nurse putting the idea into your head. Hopefully we're ready for it now. David xxx

Hopefully there won't be any more stays in hospital but if there are I won't have need of a Nurse like that because I'm a Non Smoker now HA HA
I go back to the Frenchay next week when I hope they'll discharge me into care of GP see no reason why not as no problems with my poor head at all I will let you all know how it goes
I can imagine you sitting there having a right good laugh about it, that's the sort of thing that would strike me as funny to
I'm sure you will be discharged Marg, after all you're the best judge of how you're feeling. I'm sure you'll feel better once it's been done officially though. David xxx
