Have had the most horrendous weekend and smoked this morning!!!
I have been so negative about the whole thing it was like a weight pressing down on me so this morning on my way to work I had a cigaretter.
It made me feel sick and dizzy and very very angry. However, I think I have turned the corner and gone back to being positiver about stopping instead of negative.
I can do this and I will do this. I refuse to stink like an ashtray anymore and I refused to be controlled by a plant.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad w/end. Sorrier to hear that you blipped this morning too. Acht well, at least you've learned something valuable through this escapade in that you'll now know that the nicodemon doesn't make things better.
Oh Candowilldo, that is the best thing ever 'I refuse to be controlled by a plant'! Brilliant. I am going to use that from now on every time I feel weak and tempted!
Sorry to hear about your little slip up, but hopefully it was for the best and reminded you how horrible smoking is. Keep it up and you willdo!
actually having a slightly better day today. Imagine using a machette on the plant whenever I have a craving.
Hi Candowilldo
We certainly are. Let's show this nicodemon what us Yorkies are made of.
Glad to hear you had a better day today. Sorry but I've pinched your comment "I will not be controlled by a plant" and put it in my sig. Hope you don't mind.

Don't mind at all, but I don't believe there are 3 of us from York on here all on day 4-7!! THAT'S SP0OKY!
Not happy about it but following a row with him in doors I bought some and smoked three. Had a further three today. Not good I know, but I am feeling so crappy, waking up every two hours, grumpy, and a constant headache.
Had gone onto the gum which I did feel helped a bit with the cravings. I have made an appointment to see our practice nurse but she can't see me until next week:eek:
Don't really feel any better for smoking
I am thinking of going around schools and trying to persuade children never to take this bloody awful habit up.

Oh CDWD what a shame. I know how easy it can be though, most of us have all been there. The thing is to pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and restart your quit as soon as you feel in the right mindset. As others have said read, read and read and learn from the experience. You now know that this can be one of the pitfalls and be ready for it in the future. Remember what you said and I put in my sig.
You have sussed one thing though and that is you don't feel any better for picking up and smoking that evil white stick.
As regards going round schools that is a very good idea and may make them think twice before lighting up.
Lecture over. Hope to see you back on here very soon. Shall miss my fellow Yorkie.
