I wish I could have done it the way you have, never mind though, as long as we do it eh. I quit the day after you, same age and started smoking regularly at about the same age too, I should think the symptoms you are getting are due to withdrawals though I don't know. You're doing great so keep it up. Have you read any of the literature contained in some of the links yet? David

Welcome, freshstart and david!! I admire you both.... truly. It would be so easy for the both of you to say.... 'I've done it for so long... I'll keep doing it now'..... Marg on here, another very strong and kind lady, is another great example and a very strong supporter out here.... so come and join us and help kick this habit.... we've been tricked by it.... we believed it was our 'friend'.... luckily some of us wake up and see the lies.... great job so far.... a few more tough days to come but many, many more great ones.... keep :)
Still keeping the faith Tony. It must be working , because when I get up in the morning now my second thoughts are coming first. I am not someone who is trying to stop smoking, I am a non-smoker, full stop. Feels good when I say it out loud (No ones asked me yet if I'm a smoker). Thanks to you all. David
Yesterday was really my best day, until about 5pm, when I had a mega migraine. (It's the migraine with aura, visual disturbances etc ) It was the first migraine I have had for about a year, and it also caused me to have a panic attack.
hi freshstart-well done you!! you are doing great, sorry to hear you are getting those horrible migraines-is it linked to stoping smoking do you think?
anyway stay focused you know you're doing the right thing-and keep us posted xx
