Hi folks. I've been of the ciggies for 9 weeks now. Since giving up though I've got a continuous dull pain in the right side of my chest. It's not bad, I just notice that my right lung in a bit sore. Anyone else had this since giving up?

Hey Maca, sorry you're not feeling too great.

What you're describing would be best addressed to your GP. Probably nothing to worry about, but I'd get it checked out - let us know how you get on

Congrats on 9 weeks - well done!

As for the pain in your lungs, some people experience it in the early days - but it would normally have gone away by now. Probably best to get it checked, just in case.

Hello maca and welcome to the forum.

You've got a great start to your quit there!!

As Stuart said its not uncommon to have a bit of discomfort having quit, bit 9 weeks is a long time for it to continue. Best get it checked out, nothing to loose.

Did you go cold turkey, or use something like NRT or Champix?

Cheers

Nic

I used patches but only for about 6 weeks. I actually forgot to put the patch on one day and didn't notice so I just never bothered again.

Like I said it's kinda hard to describe cos it's hardly a pain it's more like I can feel my lung inside my chest but only the right side which makes it strange. I've got an appointment for the doc next week so I'll see what he says.
