hi all been to the doc where he did a number of test,s my lung age is 85 he put me on symbicort turbohaler a bit of a shock:(Jimbo

It will be very interesting to see that lung age reduce down over time, now that you have quit!

Jimbo-your lungs will cleanse the body has an amazing way to repair itself-dont let it get you down, it simply means you(infact all of us) cannot fail.

Im sure it must have been a shock! Dont dwell on it too much you have done the right thig giving up and in time your health will improve,stay strong and focused.

My partner had a lung function test like that cos he has copd. They said he had lungs of a 90 year old hes 57 we are hoping they will improve now hes stopped smoking. xxxx

My lung age was 86 after my test last year.I recently got another test

and no age was givin,just that I have probable asthma.My doctor did not put me on anything to help my breathing.He wants to wait and see if it gets better or worse on its own.:eek:
