well its now 1 day 15 hours and 2 min since my last smoke and its alot easier then i thought. wanted to say thanks to everyone for words of support.

and to anyone who saw my day1 post yes i got rid of the cigs i found in car :D

all i can say is the patches really seem to be working and i just keep thinking of nz

:( i am eating alot and its not good i will be as big as a house at this rate any ideas :confused: please lol

been sucking on sweets alot but when i start eating i just cant stop i think it coz i know thats when i want to smoke so if i dont stop eating i wont want one stupid i know but i think thats whats going on but i might burst soon lol

Hi Jill and well done to you!

Try drinking lots of water or fruit juice. A lot of us swear by frozen grapes too lol :) If you must chew sweets, try and make them at least sugar free.

Or chewing gum? :D

Now, for some (but not everyone), Day 3 seems to be a killer, so just be prepared ok? After tomorrow all the nicotine will have left your system, and by Monday morning, you will be clean! clean! clean! :D

i did but i dont know how you get it to come up on here but it says

1day 20h 28m 52s money saved £13.90 not smoked 55 cigs and i have saved 4 hours and 35 min of my life.

so im pleased with myself so far

going away on monday so will be drinking anyone got any ideas to get me through it???

hi Jill,

well done you for getting this far - as for the food thing...lots dark fruit juices, smoothies and high dose Vit C (read it somewhere "official"!:p); there's the old fave celery if you like it, and carrots - have box ready prepared in fridge then you can suck, chew or whatever instead of reaching for the biscuits...:o

I liked to carry sugar free lollipops:) around with me as they give you something to do with your hands and your mouth and stop you eating!!!

And AirWaves sugarfree gum seems to work...
