Following quite an embarrassing moment on Saturday night returning from a friend's home where we had been to dinner (when my trousers fell down as we got out of the taxi), my husband says that he has noticed that since I stopped smoking I get pi**ed far more quickly than I used to. He said he first noticed it on holiday. I said that perhaps I was drinking more because I wasn't smoking but he is convinced that I am not. Has anyone else noticed this amazing phenomena!!!!?
Cheap to take out!!: Following quite an... - No Smoking Day
Cheap to take out!!
HI, I've not noticed it with the quit per-se, but as I have moved through my late thirties noticed I cannot handle drink anymore - to the point that I now consider quite carefully the consequences of a night out - i.e- crap all of the following day, sluggish, tired ect.
I have never been a week day / night drinnker due to my line of work, but always enjoyed a few bevies on Friday night, nowerdays, should I drink more than say 3-4 pints of normal beer (not wife beater) on Friday evening I will notice in the morning.
Might be my body's way of telling me to move on, the young days are over....!

Funny you should say that - but after my friend gave up she'd go out and drink the usual amount but get absolutley annihilated!!
We all thought that she was drinking more because she wasn't smoking but she swore she wasn't.. it was quite scary to see really! Be careful!
Needless to say she's smoking again now! Think she thought she was too much of a liability to us all! Ha ha!

Was never a good drinker but noticed that when I first started the champix I got drunk very quickly on only a couple of drinks, then I gradually found I could drink far more than I ever could:D. Now I'm off the champix I think I can drink a little more than I used to pre-champix.
