Just wondering if anyone else is finding they are breaking out in like teenage acne? This started for me around Day 3.
I'm 47 and at the moment I have the complexion of a 15 year old.
Thankfully most of my eruptions are on my forehead which is good because I have a fringe which hides them to some degree.
I'm consoling myself when looking in the mirror by saying this is a short term thing and probably to do with more oxygen in the blood - better circulation etc etc and it's just more of my body getting rid of the rubbish I've been putting into it for nearly 30 years which is a good thing.
On the plus side my skin definitely feels less dry and softer and, zits aside, altogether healthier.
Anyone else noticing changes in their skin?

It's Day 7 for me and I'm hoping this little complexion problem is short lived, I've taken to using my teenage daughters pimple cream night and morning LOL
Now you come to mention it my eyes have been really watery and itchy, I hadn't thought of that as a side effect of quitting but maybe it is
When I quit before I had that, then my skin cleared to be better than it had in years!! Luckily I haven't been back smoking long enough for my skin to go bad again. I use the steam room too which is amazing!! with no smoking and the steam room I even nearly lost my dark rings/bags under the eyes!!
my skin's never been brilliant but it definitely went downhill and then improved when I stopped smoking. I'm currently on antibiotics for it and I think they're having a much better effect as there's less toxins to fight against and more oxygen getting to it. I also didn't realise until I stopped how grey I was! My skin's far from perfect now but it does have a much nicer colour to it.
So hang in there, once the toxins are cleared out you'll feel much better.
Just to re-iterate every one else - your body is de-toxing and its a good thing for all the spots to come out. After about a month after stopping I was told I looked 10 years younger (I think that was a slight exagerration!) - I did see a definate change though!
I got asked for ID in bargain booze last week - and I'm 29 in a couple of weeks! Not sure that's just the effects of giving up smoking but I'm sure it's helping
