Well I made it to week 2 and I'm feeling great. The first 4 days or so were awful but it's got much better and I'm only experienceing the occasional crave I'm on to it and it doesn't last long.
Starting to feel so much healthier already. My body seems to want to get rid of a lot of rubbish but I still feel more alive.

I went cold turkey, that's why the first few days were so bad. Because my body has been free of nicotine for a few days I don't crave it in the same way I used to on patches. I've had a number of long but failed quits. I've used patches and lozenges but always failed, always craved. I have learned that for me, I have to change my thinking to not another puff and not another nico product as well. Everyone is different, but this seems to work for me.
Quite proud of myself as I had to go to the dentist and have 2 fillings re done. One at the front was simple and I didn't bother with an injection, the other was horrendous as it was a root filling...... I shouldn't eat anywhere near it until at least tea time. usually when I've had dental work and can't eat I smoke. I felt very stressed before going in and quite stressed when I left, but I didn't smoke and I only had a very fleeting thought about cigs when I was waiting for the bus.
Hi Boudee, I had a bit of a nap this afternoon, don't know why but that injection really knocked the stuffing out of me....Still feeling tired so it's time for a strong coffee and best foot forward. Got a guest for dinner tonight so I need to do a spot of cleaning and start cooking. Bad timing, didn't occur to me until today but I'll only be able to eat bits of the meal.
