Still craving

I stopped smoking at the start of August and had been doing ok but I have started getting cravings again. I finished with my NRT patches a while ago and don't know whether I should start them again. What has anyone else done to get past the cravings?

Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I actually started chewing gum to take my mind off them...not the nicotine stuff, just normal pieces but it seems to have worked.

Beat the Cravings!

Have a game of literati or sommat on yahoo games, by the time you finish your game your craving would have passed. Works for me lol.:p hope it helps.;)

Actually I did find a testris smoking game on the british heart foundation site and that keeps me occupied for hours!

I hope I won't still be getting cravings when I've been quit as long as you guys - my best trick at the moment is doing a bit of piano practice (don't laugh) as long as it's not too late at night. My scales are improving ... I think anything that keeps your hands occupied is good. knitting for instance.

Try gum

I used pacthes too - and now I use the gum every so often - not a lot - just when it gets really bad - youll be fine!

Well done!

Karen that's great! You must ber so pleased. I quit on the 1st January (a NY resolution that actually worked out!) I used the nasal spray but not using that anymore. Took Lou's hint and started carrying around the nicotine gum - haven't actually used it but I like having it on me just in case!!
