I hope you are all well and doing good 😬 I was just wondering if anyone on here has had the experience of an angiogram done through the groin area? Sadly my kidney is still not working properly 4 months after transplant and they think this could be to do with a kink in the renal artery, I just wondered if anyone has had the same or similar and what to expect, thanks again 😁 xxx

I had an angiogram thru the groin when they were diagnosing me with CKD. I was otherwise healthy so they were checking to see if there was a blockage that would explain my high creatinine. Of course everything was fine. I went on to having a transplant in 1999. This October 15th, will be my 25th Kidney-anniversary.
I wouldn't worry about the angiogram, because it could show the reason your kidney isn't working as it should.
Hey, thank you for your reply I'm sooo pleased for you that your kidneybhas been working so well, 25 years is amazing 😍 I had my biopsy yesterday, have asked for sedation for the angiogram, I've had sooo many procedures in the last 4 months I've become a complete wimp everytime I have to go to the hospital 🤣 I hope everything keeps going well for ypu xxx
Hi sorry your kidney isn't working yet. Fingers crossed that it will.
I had an angiogram, for heart not kidney, in Jan 2020.
It's nothing, i was awake, had to lie still and at one point the surgeon asked "Are you doing ok". I pointed out to him that it was more important that he was doing ok as he was the one going up into my heart!
Hey, haha that's great I like that 🤣 well done you for being so brave! I've asked for sedation, purely because of the amount of procedures I've had in the last few months it's made me a nervous wreck 🤣 ranks for your reply and stay well xx
Hi 😁 aww I'm OK, I've come to the conclusion it is what it is and I feel OK so will make the most of this ☺️ but will keep ypu updated, I hope you're keeping well xx
