creatinine levels
Always check with your doctor/nephrologist regarding your lab value. But I remember that first year to 18 months my creatinine jumped all over before it settled down. Sometimes even being a little dehydrated can make the creatinine change.
After my donation of a kidney in 2017, my creatine level jumped from .98 to 1.56, and over time has dropped, to 1.36 to 1.27 and back up to 1.34. I was told that this will be my new normal, but I was also advised to stay hydrated and always be sure to STAY hydrated; it appears that this affects the level. Be sure to talk with your nephrologist about your concerns, and Welcome to the wonderful world of transplantation!
I’m not familiar with creatinine being measured on that scale. I can tell you my GFR went from 75 to 54 one day and it freak me the heck out and the doctor is like “it’s just one reading” and now it’s back to 85 which is the best it’s ever been. It is very hard not to live and die for your lab values. Doctors have seen lots of these cases so if they’re not worried, try to relax. If you do see a concerning blood result, contact your doctor immediately and they might have missed it. Pre-transplant, pre-dialysis my creatinine jumped from 2.2 to 4.5 in just ten days. Turned out it’s because I took a diuretic for a week I was only supposed to take for two days. My nephrologist’s office didn’t even call. No one was paying attention.
Oh and also — please get a CBC and iron panel done. Dizzy and weak sounds like anemia to me, but a doctor must make the final diagnosis.
mine would jump up every time they adjusted my meds they eventually settled once my body got used to change also make sure you keep hydrated been same now for 39 years now also get complete blood work anemia is common after transplant
