A Queen with a crook in her neck

So I have to be a little silly with these titles, laughter is the greatest cure right? I literally do have a crook in my neck for the past three nights. Now what does that have to do with kidneys? Absolutely nothing and that's okay. Well actually I think it's because I've been trying not to lay on my fistula arm because it falls asleep and I don't think that's a good thing. I'm not really sure?

I've been thinking about reaching out to people to provide information about how they can look into being a donor for me or for someone else. I'm getting help from a person at one of the center's I'm trying to list with. I guess I do have a question has anyone had a person/friend to help them get the word out that they were seeking a living donor?

HipHopQueen, I am in Stage 5 Polycystic Kidney Disease and searching for a live donor while waiting on a deceased donor. I am thinking of calling my local TV station to ask how to get the word out. I would be open for others' ideas. I also want to try to get on transplant centers outside my area or state. Is there s list of transplant centers and which ones have the shortest wait list? Also what characteristics move a person to the top of the list? Bless us and all donors and recipients, BB

I'm not sure about that Aloha, but I would think if there was everyone would be trying to get listed at the places with the shortest lists making them not so short any more but I truly don't know. I hate all of this, but I have to remind myself to be thankful that saving our lives is even a possibility.

Hi HiphopqueenYou are always so cheery 😁😁😁 I know what u mean about your neck, the same thing happened to me. If u go onto YouTube there is a technique you can try that involves a towel. It did give me some relief. Its a nightmare with a new arm fistula but it does get better! My husband is being tested as a possible live donor. However i have been told by my consultant to ask other people. I hate asking people for anything let alone a body part 😳😳😳😳 My sister has offered to be tested but she has 2 children and I would never forgive myself if anything happened to her. So I told her thanks but no. Sorry i can't be much help!! Have a good day x

Hi Ziggydoodah, My dad and bff offered. My mom had diabetes, but they only want to give to me. My dad is my blood type my bff isn't and she lives on the west coast and I'm on the east coast. She has two kids and I was semi relied she couldn't be a donor directly for me. I would have felt bad as well. So maybe my dad will work out but he's in his 70s and I'm thinking that and past cancer plus he is a smoker will make him a no. We'll see.
