Yes, I too was diagnosed with FSGS. I had a transplant from a deceased donor 20 years ago. I am living strong with a stable creatinine of 0.9.

I think that is BS that they won't give you another kidney because of the FSGS! Where did you have your transplant? Have you checked with them lately?

I had it done at the QE hospital and it's been years since I sat down with a doctor to discuss anything i just go to my unit for my dialysis did you have no problems with your new kidney i had to have plasma exchange to try get it to work I could wee but the new kidney just made me feel really ill from start to finished

I was very lucky! My kidney started working right on the operating table. All of my problems at first were getting my body to tolerate the immunosuppressants and steroids I had to take. I never had a rejection episode and my kidney just keeps "chugging" along. My transplant was in the US at the University of Wisconsin transplant center in Madison, WI in 1999.

I have FSGS too. During the transplant work up I was told that there was a good % that the FSGS could return in the transplanted organ. I have not had a transplant yet. They are studying a treatment to help prevent the return of FSGS in transplanted kidneys. I would take to your Dr. again or maybe talk with another transplant hospital.

I don’t know what dkd is. We can pass away about two weeks ago he was on dialysis and then got a kidney . then she fell in December and broke her arm into places to visit in. She said that she kept falling off don’t know why and her husband found herin the bathroom so sad.I think it would be easier for her or she have a quick right to 67 and you’re older than me. We met at UCLA in 1992. I was on dialysis 6 months and then got a transplant which lasted 23 years but then I got pneuammonia and it affecting mykidney so I’ve been on dialysis for five yearsi also dont know what fsgs is?
