Living on dialysis

Hi jayhawker its Mj 1965, its been a while.b4 I started dialysis I wanted to go on haemodialysis but I was advised by my nephrologist to go on PD dialysis because if I went on haemodialysis it would make me feel worse and I would feel drained all the time. You know what its the best decision I made. I have seen how drained and tired people look when having haemodialysis.

I am doing capd twice a day at the moment, I was on the machine but changedover because it was pulling to much and the alarm kept going of.best decision.

That's exactly what my first nephrologists said to me when we talked about dialysis. I'm glad to hear how well PD works for you! I'm certainly hoping for similar results🐶

How long do you do the dialysis each time? I’m still debating whether to use machine or do manually?

I do my dialysis manually and at the moment I do it twice a day, morning and evening overnight

Hi again I forgot to mention I'm on the yellow bag for 4 hours in the morning and the green bag for 8 -10 hours overnight
