jardience side effect?

i started on 10 mg of jardiance and 40 of lipitor last month and have noticed an increase in the times i have to pee twice over what it was before,even with the water pill.is that a side effect or have i run into something else?

Sounds like the drug with that side effect being basically due to its mechanism of clearing out glucose healthline.com/health/drugs...

Empagliflozin (Jardiance) is a diuretic, so it will increase your urinary frequency.

Moreover, if you get urine tests done it will show more glucose in her urine as it gets cleared from your kidneys more.

Yes, however it should normally lower your eGFR levels as it draws fluid out of the kidneys more than normal. Remember eGFR also is only a measurement taken from the level of creatinine you have in your body. So it gets a little bit complicated, however if you can keep your creatinine levels low or within range your eGFR should rise depending on how well your kidneys are functioning and your age.

Empagliflozin (Jardiance) is good for your kidneys.

Remember that try not to consume sugar as this is a kidney killer.

Your liver makes glucose normally so people do not need sugar as a form of glucose for energy. Sugar causes inflammation in protein cells and then a cascade effect throughout the body ensues.
