i was diagnosed with restrictive lung disease and put on jardience .i heard it helped kidneys.anyone else know about jardiance?

Hi. Jardiance and Farxiga are in the same classification of drugs. My cardiologist put me on it and my nephrologist is very supportive of it. It is supposed to help kidneys and has benefits for the heart. I didn’t realize it had benefits for the lungs as well.

Im undertaking a comprehensive risk-benefit assessment in case its offered to my mum for her ckd 3. I will interrogate the evidence purported benefits alongside the risks. Dont know yet if theres evidence for anything else besides ckd and heart disease.

I'm on Jardiance now for over a year. It has helped with the protein in my urine. I didnt realize it was used for Restrictive Lung disease.

he said it was for my diabetes but said also it could help slow the progression but i havent found any info on it

Check it out on Drugs.com. I looked and didn't see anything, but it would be great if it did help the lungs. I have COPD
