I have had high uncontrollable blood pressure for 3 years. Kidney failure this past year, especially this summer, GFR dropping to 30. I have had MGUS (monoconal gammopathy of undetermined significance) for 20 years. This past week I was diagnosed with MGRS (monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance). I am having a bone marrow biopsy and will probably be starting chemotherapy after that to try to save my kidneys. Vegetarian diet has raised GFR to 38. I am Hoping this chemo can stop the protein from destroying my kidneys. Does anybody else on here have a diagnosis of MGRS?
