Hi, I have a question. If I have a day where I eat more protein than usual I find more bubbles in my urine. When I eat very low protein on a day urine is perfectly fine. No bubbles, good color. I drink the same amount of water ( between 76-80) ounces a day. I do not drink anything but water. Is this normal. My next doctors appointment is July 26th and I will have labs done but was just curious about this. Thank you.

Hi Yankees28, you asked the same question 7 months ago. Are you seeing a nephrologist?
My neph says not to worry about bubbles, they are normal from little pee splashes, its foam that you worry about. Apparently it looks different. You can probably find examples online.
My husband ( transplant pt stg 3) also leaks a little protein but has greatly lessened the amount by eating only plant protein. Once a month or so, he’ll eat a small piece of lamb or hard cheese & shortly see the foam in the urine. No foam if no animal products. But eating plant based keeps his transplant steady & his labs perfect.
No foam is much better . Please do educate yourself.
