It partly depends on how bad your kidneys are ie stage of CKD, but white generally better than red. But consider a nutritional therapist for a personalised approach.
Plant based protein (which can taste like meat) like Beyond and Impossible burgers are the best for kidneys -- just count the sodium and keep it under 1,500 mg per day.
Elslee, you would need to provide more info about your situation for folks to give you a good answer, like what do your labs look like, what other medical issues do you have.
Since my husband grills a mean burger and I'm too lazy to make turkey burgers, I eat half at a time. Otherwise it's chicken breasts (skinless boneless) ground turkey and fish.
