Can you please give more information? Because if you are using eGFR to evaluate your kidney functions, keep in mind that they are easily affected from anything in your body. My doctor suggested me to use 24-hour urine tests to evaluate, instead of eGFR.

Also I do not know about what kind of disease you have, sometimes in some diseases we may see a trend like this; but generally doctors take actions on these kind of situations. When I saw an increase in my lab levels - which was two tests with three months apart - I was worried, but my doctor told me that this is a short time to decide if this is the trend or not. But this also depends on my disease, as well.

Please be sure that there will be lots of ups and downs on the road.

Thanks for reply.my kidneys scarring due to preclampsia in 2020 when my daughter born premature. That time my kidney function 13% left but it’s improve slowly slowly until October 2022 with 30%. After that lab test comes 26 then now last week lab result showing 24%. My doctor concerned this time. So I bit worried. He thought maybe you not hydrated during blood test so he want another one next week.

What level of CKD have you been diagnosed with?

Were your labs done at same facility?

Hi, thanks for reply I diagnosed with 13% in 2020. Then I improved slowly until 2022 with 30% but after October 2022 it’s start declining now 24%.

Has Doctor considered a CKD diet. Many of us are on diets which help our kidneys function easier. Mine is based on blood work for sodium, potassium, phosphorus and protein.

Actually he didn’t recommended me any diet. But I changed by myself now. Went on holidays to see family in India so wasn’t strict diet. So could be the reason too. Doctor reconmanded me another lab in two weeks🤞🤞

Also my other tests perfectly fine. No sodium, potassium and cholesterol issues.

Sorry didn't see the other messages.Mine are small due to scaring before I was born (now 50) but not as low as others.

Hello Savreen, How is your blood pressures now?

I know you said this was due to preeclampsia, but is your blood pressure controlled now?

hi Sarah, it’s controlled by medicine telmisirtan 40 mg once a nigh time. Last night reading was 131/91.

I’d ask your doctor what he thinks but, I had to do 24 hour blood pressure monitor to see what my blood pressure was throughout the day and night. Maybe yours in running a little high or maybe not. Sorry your going through this, since your already vegetarian and know the cause I’d ask the doctor what he thinks.

He checked my blood pressure that time. Was high that time(143/90) But he didn’t mentioned me anything. He said may be because of its high bcz I worried for results. What you recommend after how long should I monitor BP in 24 hrs??

Do you have a blood pressure machine at home? If so, I’d first check it morning, afternoon, and night (3 times a day) for a few weeks and see what it’s doing (write it down). If it seems a bit high, I’d show your results to your dr and ask for a one time 24 hour blood pressure monitor (the doctor would have to order it). It’s annoying, but you’d wear it all day and night and give it back to the dr the next day to analyze the results. When I did the 24 hour blood pressure monitor I think it took like 50 or 60 readings and then the doctor reviewed it.

Perhaps your blood pressure needs to be more controlled? Otherwise I’d ask why he thinks your eGFR is dropping.
