I am so sorry to hear about your Klebsiella Pneumonia.
Have you called the office of the GP or nephrologist who ordered these lab tests and ask the nurse or doctor what the diagnosis means and what you can do to feel better? That's your next step.
The purpose of our community is to provide support, not give medical advice.
Remember that what may hold true to the results and health of one patient, may not be true for the other.
It may be challenging to get in to see doctors in the UK, but you have the right to ring them up and have this explained to you as well as your issues with the medication.
My other friends in the UK at least speak to someone in the office.
Please ring them up and stay positive as you are taking every step to address it.
Keep calling until someone does answer the phone. You recently saw a nephrologist; ring them up and advise them of this. As much as the UK health system limits care, your GFR warrants the care of a nephrology team.
Continue to ring; perhaps when they open for the day.
They are merely closed until then. It's a holiday for everyone. This does not equal "don't care." They (the medical community staff) have lives to live and it's not directed as a personal insult or negative disrespect. Even if something or someone is giving you a personal insult, YOU have the choice to shrug it off and move beyond the feeling. You have this full community supporting you. That should mean a lot to you. Buck up my friend. Things will be okay. Blessings
I couldn't find much about that bacteria. I suggest that you have a look at drugs.com/ for the antibiotics prescribed. Perhaps it will give you a better idea in term of recovery and potential side-effects?
