Being home is not so bad.

I have a lot of started, in the middle of, projects.

Making lists is really helpful.

I can actually finish a book within a few days.

I can do without……

Making time to get outside more is very healing and calming.

I can walk further than I thought.

I too can have husband ears…..

I am learning to be more patient.

Making cookies is NOT a good idea.

Sleeping in a real joy and so are naps.

CBD oil does work for anxiety.

I am so grateful for grocery pick up and restaurant take out.

This would be a lot worse if it weren’t for technology.

Being scared is a waste of energy. It will not change anything.

There will be a surfacing of some really good people.

We will find out what we are made of.

What have you learned or what are you grateful for?

What an interesting list. Five years ago I was working for an American bank jetting all over Europe. Then I was diagnosed with CKD stage 4.

Having been working from home full time since September 2016 due to my failing kidneys and then going sick and giving up work in November 2018 followed by starting peritoneal dialysis in November 2019 then I am no stranger to being at home. I don't need a lot of space and I am quite happy pottering about in the garden. I have got more unread books and unfinished projects than I have time left to complete them in.

I don’t know what “husband ears…..” are. That is not a phrase we have in England as far as I am aware. If it means that my wife might start listening to me then I am all for it.

Husband ears is what I call when my husband says he is listening to me and then not even five minutes later, asks me the exact thing I just told him about and he has no clue! It follows refrigerator blindness. That's when my husband can be looking for something and can't find it, because either he has to move something or it is on a different shelf. RB also can spread to cabinets and pantries. lololol

Haha. I can relate to that!

You don't happen to have the same husband as me, do you? This definitely needs a new help category I think.

I love that. Now I know that mine also has Husband EARS! Glad I am not the only one.

LOL

This "Husband Ears" and "Refrigerator Blindness" is going to become worse than the Corona Virus as husbands spend more time at home. My wife says I'm definitely suffering from a bad case of it right now working from home!

We love them in spite of the acute blindness, too.

Leaving .4 inch of soda in the bottle or drinking the herbal iced tea and leaving next to nothing in the jug; not grabbing the 4 tea bags to make the tea so that he will have it for breakfast ( or telling me)

I block it all out.

No ants, no bugs all good!

Lol..

My favorite was when hubby, who is an ice cream addict, left barely a spoonful of ice cream in the bottom of the carton. I was going to serve it for three of us. I pulled what I thought was a half full carton out with too much force and it went flying and hit him in the head. Karma..... she is a B*tch. lolol We no longer have ice cream in the house. :(

That is a corker. The thing that amazes me is the antics take place in broad daylight and at least here, he is wearing his glasses. Question them and they look at you like you are nuts.

He got hit with the carton..lol Karma is a bi**h!

Hope things in your neck of the woods are at least okay.

We went on " Shelter in Place" over the weekend. I am an advocate.

Take care..and yes, we will share notes.

I am doing fine. We are staying home. Poor hubby is now getting stuck with helping with a spring cleanup. He got stuck washing all the glass wear and "stuff" that I have and I have a ton of it. lolol. This way when things go back to normal and he can go back to school, he won't want to stay home. I have my methods. lololol

So glad to hear as your area had losses.

Good idea! While husband is home, I will recruit him to help me lift down and dishwash all of my good glass wear and that jazz.

Despite the fact that I am co- owner of my folks house, my bro is responsible for all of the yard and interior clean up etc as long as we don't reside in the property 😥, so as we rent not responsible. Why stir the pot?

Will work on taxes shortly as we have an appointment next Sunday. Our CPA has you drop the data off and he calls you as he is taking care of business. Once set, you pop into the office and sign and they call you when your returns are checked and processed.

That is a nuisance.

Husband probably misses campus life but is not saying.

He lives on the den computer!

You've got to love it all and rock and roll.

Just thanking God we are so far safe.

I know as I have family who live in the city; unfortunately after mom passed, they chose to go their own way.

It is horrible - we listen to Governor Cuomo every day. We admire his leadership.

Thought your area had cases and passing but not out of control. It is not a joke.

My heart goes out to even the healthy - forget the afflicted and their families.

I pray this country is able to manufacture necessary ventilators and we remain on

" Stay at home or lockdown".

We have to support each other!

That’s not “husband ears” it’s a chronic disease of the male population in general. Progressing in severity the older we get and the more we rely on our precious significant others to help us in finding items generally right in front of us. Most of us would eat stale bread or crackers but for your ability to seemingly know not only what we are looking but also it’s location what we are looking for without clear communication from us or prior knowledge…Lol!

I agree with most of what you said. I’m surprised that beginning my fourth week of not going out (due to an accident in my home-I’m fine now), I’m STILL NOT bored. I’ve become very creative con my cooking and overall feel better. Thanks to my dogs’ insistence I play with them in my backyard. I have great wonderful telephone, email and texting friends & gamut. I can pray. And I know He hears me/us. God bless you and yours Bassetmommer.

Take care of you, Darla.

I am not bored either. The creativity is what you make of it.

Stay safe, healthy and heal.

Bet

I love being at home and am never bored. I am however not one to be told to do something lol. I have tons of things to occupy my time.

I've been reading and watching old movies. Tomorrow I have a pallet of mulch being delivered and between rain drops, I'll be working in the yard.

If I get tired of movies I can always listen to my Doo Wop recordings.

If I get stir crazy I can always begin planning more trips to take when this insanity is over.

Listen to medical professionals and stay safe.

I do almost the same things. Plus streaming my soap.

Not bored a bit.

Stay safe as well and to all of our community members.

Reading is great. When I broke my ankle I was down for 6 weeks and read 22 books. Maybe I'll beat that record this time.
