Has anybody tried DTS?

I know at least one of you will say "there is no miracle cure" for CKD but who can blame us for searching for one?

After doing about an hours worth of research I am almost ready to purchase DTS. Has anybody tried it?

Again, I know there is no magic cure but just trying to raise my GFR. I am a 35 year old male with IGA Nephropathy and an eGFR of 38 per my last reading. Taking renadyl as well as fiber and only eat chicken about twice a week.

Your first sentence answered your own question, "there is no cure".I certainly couldn't blame you for searching for the "magic pill ". You are not alone there, but I would urge caution with anything that does not or can not give scientific evidence to support their claims. Anecdotal evidence just doesn't cut it as even a placebo can work for some people. I eventually found the good old kidney friendly diet did the best job and at no cost to get into it. But if you go with any diet then you need to stick with it religiously for it to be of benefit.

It is your life to make whatever choices you want, just make informed wise choices is all I can advise.

I spent weeks searching for the "magic pill" to no avail, but I did find a diet and lifestyle that has slowed the decline to a trickle which I recognise as likely the natural decline as we age.

Run everything past your kidney Dr first.

Good luck.

I’ve seen so many go down this road with a majority harming themselves both health wise and/or financially. Please don’t buy till you talk to one or more of your trusted health care providers. Also, only an hours worth or research? I do that on my condition or more daily. Educate on what you are battling not the magic pill. Of the 30 or so folks I have know personally who perused the MAGIC over the 25 years I have had CKD 14 of those ended up in dialysis and transplant (2 of the 14 never made it to transplant) sooner than they would have if they would have not bought the SNAKE OIL. It is no longer the 1880s don’t buy the magic elixir.

I’ve never heard of that but I differ in my opinion than the others. My attitude is nothing ventured nothing gained. When I started my journey my GFR was 11. I researched, ordered the kidney disease solution. Followed it and it kept me off dialysis for 5 years! And along the way I tried a few more things along with it. Those didn’t help but how would I have known if I didn’t try. Doctors follow a protocol. The same for everyone. Everyone is not the same. You do what you feel you need to. Maybe this one won’t work but the next one might. Prayers for you. God can do anything!

I looked it up. It is a unregulated product form China. and although I think Chinese medicine has a lot to offer, there are some warnings that come with anything that is not regulated. So, the fact that one of the plants is known to stop bleeding, means that it can also cause blood clots. So that in itself is something you might want to be weary of. But there are a lot of people who swear by Chinese Herbal medicine. Just check with your doctor. But think of this also. If it was a miracle cure, don't you think it would have been all over this website as the miracle cure? It isn't.......

Before taking it you should consult a medical doctor who is conversant in non-western forms of medicine.

My only experience with Chinese herbs was when my dog was deathly ill with thrombocytopoenia. Turns out my vet was a proponent of Chinese medicine (and acupuncture). She treated the dog with western medicine but added on some Chinese herbs to improve her blood composition. And sure enough my dog, who was hanging on by a thread, recovered from her ordeal. It was the combination of eastern and western medicines that did it.

So yes, it's possible the herb will help, but don't take it without the advice of a medical doctor who has experience in this area.
