How much plant protein has anyone been advised as their limit? While waiting for referral to dietician, I’d like a protein allowance anyone has been given. Thank you in advance.
Also, daily water allowance? Everything I’ve read here and other support groups, we kind of have to figure most things out for ourselves.

Skeptix is correct. But do not be surprised if you get an even lower amount recommended. I could according to that .06 to weight could consume up to 70 grams a day. I do not and my dietician put me now at 10% of my dietary intake which is only 32 grams daily and plant based. It all depends on you and the stage you are at. Changing my protein intake and going plant based improved my GFR.
As far as water, I consume 62 ounces daily for the most part But I do not have any edema or bloat. So that also should be set by your doctor and dietician. But the main things is I drink water. I have one cup of coffee and one cup of herbal tea in the afternoon. And that's it. No soda or pop and no juices.
How much sodium? And do you have a daily meal plan you can share? So much to absorb and prednisone makes me hungry but I’ve kept fruits and vegetables near so far. I drink one cup of coffee in morning now( used to be 2 or 3), water and 15 ounces of cranberry or celery juice.
I put my daughter on a low carb/keto diet several years ago while she was on dialysis. This was the only change made. She lost 30 lbs and was able to stop her dialysis treatments for 2 years. She's now back on once a week but we're hoping by putting her back on low carb, she'll be able to stop treatments again. Good luck!
Wow that’s great. I’m new at this and dialysis not mentioned. Kind of wonder if each diagnosis involves a different type of diet and/or fluid limit. I am currently waiting for my infusion appts to be scheduled and dr to refer me to a dietician.
May I ask how much protein your daughter is eating on a low carb/keto diet? As a diabetic, I've been low carb/keto for years. But now adding so many veggies and reducing protein for CKD is messing with my blood sugar!
