Hi all

Been feeling unwell for the last couple of years, last year my gp said I had protein in urine but nothing was done about it, this year still have protein and my function is worse (she didn't tell me how bad or much it had gone down) but she put me on a urgent referral to a nephrologist, 2 weeks later had letter from consultant requesting i get bloods done and urine tests, I had them done Friday last week. I am abit worried why it was an urgent referral? I'm extremely tired and have no energy, foamy cloudy urine, back pain, abdominal pain, dizziness, brain fog, weakness, just feeling so exhausted. 😔

Since you don't have a diagnosis of CKD you might be better off waiting for the lab results and then speaking to the nephrologist. That would be the time to ask your questions as well as informing the doctor of your ailments and let that determine what additional tests, both labs and diagnostics are needed to get to the bottom of your issues.I realize that you have to operate under the NHS system in the UK but were you not able to see a urologist during all this time? Wishing you the best. Let us know how the tests turn out and perhaps then we can offer some advice and suggestions.
