Kidney Disease is one community and Early CKD Support is a separate community. It may have something to do with who sponsors each community. Perhaps a moderator or administrator will answer with a more definitive answer. In my early days in HU I was in both, but soon left one and stayed in Kidney Disease.

I believe this one is sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation and is USA centered although anyone can post and the other one is British or UK centered, and sponsored by NHS, maybe? I know they had nurses monitoring it early on.

I have found more diverse kidney issues in Kidney Disease as there are folks with IGAN, Membraneous Nephropathy, Polycystic Kidney Disease as well as CKD in this community.

I have seen more CKD folks in Early CKD.
