I have been taking Gabapentin for 2+ years now, (400mg per day ) and so far my eGFR has remained stable. I am at CKD 3b. My neurologist monitors the eGFR also.
I'm stable at Stage 2, and have been taking Gabapetin 400mg three times a day (I'm also a diabetic with neuropathy in my feet. I've been taking this dosage (1200mg daily) for the better part of three years. My Nephrologist knows this, as does my endocrinologist - basically all members of my care team know that I'm taking this medication at this dosage. My Nephrologist has never raised even an eyebrow at the Gabapentin levels.
(care team: Me, general practice Nurse practitioner, Nephrologist, Neurologist, Endocrinologist, Urologist, Pediatrist, Counselor, Psychiatrist, General Surgeon [DMX due to breast cancer diagnosis], Plastic Surgeon [breast reconstruction] - I think that's everyone)
